Dans le cadre des activités soulignant son 40e anniversaire, Engramme amorce un projet d’art postal destiné aux facteurs et autres personnes lisant votre courrier à votre insu.
Plus d’une centaine de cartes postales, réalisées par quinze artistes en arts visuels, sont envoyées simultanément pour le plus grand plaisir de ces pauvres facteurs qui livrent surtout du courrier ennuyeux (factures, factures, factures...).
Les artistes ayant eu carte blanche quant au contenu visuel et littéraire des cartes, les propositions sont fort diversifiées et alimentent une réflexion bilatérale entre l'art postal et l'estampe.
Les cartes ont été envoyées à leurs destinataires le 30 novembre et le 7 décembre. Les copies réservées à la banque d'oeuvres d'Engramme sont disponibles pour consultation à la galerie jusqu'au 10 janvier 2013.

A show of the works produced during this period of exchange, will be shown in the same studiospace untill June 20th 2012.
Smoke Signals originated as a perspective experimental collaboration between Brazillian artist Leopoldo Ponce and Canadian artist Sean MacAlister. It started as an investigation of how people communicate without the written and spoken word. Inspiration for this project was gathered from aboriginal cultures and their use of smoke signals as a form of communication.
10 collages inspired by the article ” Ten Points Everyone Should Know About the Quebec Student Movement” by Andrew Gavin Marshall

The pictures and the images of the collages give a report of two period of contestation that link our country; the strikes in Quebec (since march 2012) and the brazilian militar dictatorship period (1964-1985) (posted by Eduardo Everderame).
Participating artists Aleks Bartosik, Eduardo Verderame, Hannah Doerksen, Helio Bartsch, Marie-Claude Gendron, Juan Castro, Juliana Kase, Laurie Sumiye
